• Ceremony coordination: organizing the wedding party, cueing the processional, making sure the officiant and musicians are ready, handling things missing or forgot, and keeping things on schedule.

• Reception coordination: cueing entrances, speeches, dances, dinner service, cake cutting, and other events.

• Problem-solving: handling late vendors, missing items, weather changes, timeline delays, guest questions, and other surprises without involving the couple unless necessary.

• End-of-night logistics: helping ensure gifts, personal décor, cards, leftover items, rentals, and vendor responsibilities are handled appropriately.

 

Wedding coordination by Sonya is different from a “wedding planner”. A planner typically helps you design and plan the wedding over several months, including choosing vendors and developing budgets.
